Enable Unknown Sources
You must open Kodi up to allow add-ons to be installed from unknown sources. This is any unofficial add-on, so make sure you run through the steps below to check if this setting is enabled or not.

You’re now ready to install Elysium. Head back to the settings page and click on “file manager.” It’s the last option on the last row.
Click “add source” in the left-hand column. It should be the last option in the list.
A separate window will appear. Click “<none>” to open an address bar.
In the address bar, type “http://noobsandnerds.com/portal”. The URL must be typed exactly as it is written here. If that URL is giving you trouble, an alternative is “http://nan.aftermathwizard.net/nanrepo/”
Click “OK” and the address bar will close. Enter a name for the source (like “noobsandnerds”) and click OK again.
Keeping going back until you arrive at the Kodi home screen. Click on the “add-ons” menu in the sidebar.
Click the “add-on browser” button at the top of the sidebar. It looks like an open box.
From the list, click on “install from zip file.”
Find the source you named before. For this tutorial, it’s “noobsandnerds.”
Click on the repository zip file. At the time of writing, it’s named “repository.noobsandnerds-2.3.3.zip” but it may be slightly different depending on the version of the repository you install.
Wait for a few seconds, and you’ll receive an “add-on enabled” notification. After it shows up, click on “install from repository.”

If this is the first time you’ve installed a repository, then noobsandnerds will sit underneath the official Kodi repo. Either way, click on noobsandnerds repository from the list.
Inside the repository, click on “video add-ons.”
There are quite a few add-ons inside. Find “Elysium” and click on it.
A screen will open with the description and icon for the add-on. Click on “install” from the bottom row.
Wait for the same “add-on enabled” notification, and Elysium is ready to use. Inside, you’ll find a massive library of both movies and TV shows. Categories make the navigation simple, but you can always use the search function, too.
While Elysium may list a movie or TV show, that doesn’t necessarily mean that a stream is currently available. It is always good idea to allow Elysium to scrub sources before getting your hopes up, especially if the movie is still in theaters.
Fix the “Failed to Install a Dependency” Error
You may encounter as error that says “failed to install a dependency” like I did while working on this tutorial. This error is due Kodi not being able to find the URLResolver add-on, something that all unofficial streaming add-ons depend on.
If you’re receiving this error, the first troubleshooting step is to deactivate repositories that are no longer being hosted. To see what you have installed, follow these steps:
- Click “add-ons” from the home page
- Go to “my add-ons”
- Click “add-on repository”
You’ll see all currently installed repositories inside. Go through and disable each until the Elysium will install. In my case, Ares Wizard, Super Repo and Colossus were the source of the issue.
If you have no other repositories installed, or if that didn’t fix the issue, you’ll need to manually install the URLResolver add-on via a zip file. Follow these steps:
- Download the URLResolver zip file. Clicking this link will immediately begin the download
- In Kodi, go to “add-on browser > install from zip file”
- Find the directory where you downloaded URLResolver
- Inside, select “script.module.urlresolver-x.x.x.zip”

As with all other add-ons, wait for the notification and try to install Elysium.
